Some things about me.
I keep my hair long in the winter to keep me warm and short in the summer to help keep me cool.
I love to play with toy cars and trains so I came up with the name Jimmy Plays.
I was medically retired at 49 and had my driving license revoked due to Bi Polar so I now walk with my RC Cars almost daily and use the Bee bus network if I need to travel further.
Most mornings I run my trains while drinking a pot of coffee, once my medication has kicked in I usually like to take one of my cars for a walk to the local trails or up to one of my favorite spots where there are some great views, rarely any other people and lots of wildlife to watch and listen to. I then go home and do just enough housework to keep my wife happy as she still works. After that there is always an RC car that needs some work doing to it. I take one of my cars out most days and always try to find a muddy puddle or brook to drive through so maintenance is almost constant.
On a Sunday I meet up with my local RC group Kirklees RC Adventures and we spend a good few hours trailing and crawling the local area which is a mix of forest floor trails, rocks to climb and brooks to drive through. There are also a few lodges ideal for when we use the RC Boats and open fields which is great for drones, planes and some of the faster RC cars. If you want to watch us we live stream here on a Sunday morning. We are not an official club so anyone is free to come along and there is no fee to pay, we meet in Tottington so if you are local then get in touch here.
